The 71st round of IT Scholarship Program, run by the Islamic Development Bank and Bangladesh Islamic Solidarity Education Waqf (ISDB BISEW) to ensure employment in the country and abroad, is accepting applications. The program provides free IT training for graduates with non-IT backgrounds for about eight and a half months.
The courses are designed according to the needs of the modern job market and 92 percent of the students are successfully working in the country and abroad after completing the training.
IsDB-BISEW is a joint venture between the Government of Bangladesh and the Islamic Development Bank of Saudi Arabia, Jeddah, which is working with its own funds to increase the employment of the youth of Bangladesh through information technology and technical education.
Currently, scholarships are being offered in 13 different courses under this program. In the last 19 years, the organization has produced 17,276 skilled IT professionals, who are currently working in various organizations in the country as well as in more than 3,254 foreign organizations.

The maximum age limit for the application of this eight and a half month training course of the 71st round of IDB IT Scholarship is 30 years as on the last date of application. Candidates who have joined any course in any previous round will not be accepted if they apply for this course again. Written and oral tests will be held in Dhaka and Chittagong and the MCQ test will be conducted on Mathematics and English subjects.
The course is free of charge. It is a course worth about two lakh taka. After successful completion, there are employment opportunities for those who pass. In addition, those who complete the course will also have the opportunity to become internationally recognized IT professionals.
The maximum age limit of the interested candidate in this ongoing round should be 30 years by the last date of application. If the candidate has joined any course in any previous round and applies again, it will not be accepted. In the case of candidates with diplomas, all courses are conducted only in Dhaka.
Candidates should be pursuing Bachelor’s, Fazil, Masters or Kamil. Candidates with a four-year Diploma in Engineering (Computer or Telecommunication or Electronics or Civil or Architecture or Survey or Construction) can apply.
